The global private market of MRI and CT, which registered an increase in investors’ interest in the mid-2000s, has slowed down over the last 3 years.On the other hand, the demand for a modern diagnosis by MRI and CT in the Republic of Moldova is increasing, compared to the medical market in Europe and the USA, regarding the ratio of the number of units of MRI, CT systems and population.In 2018, Moldova had 16 MRI systems for 3.5 million population (4.5 MRI systems / 1 million inhabitants).Most of these MRI systems are over 10 years old.Most of the MRI systems (11 out of 16) are operating in the capital of the Republic, Chisinau city. Nine MRI systems are 1.5 Tesla, 3 systems are 3 Tesla and 4 MRIs are Open type systems 0.25 – 0.35 Tesla. (more…)
Președintele Republicii Moldova, Igor Dodon, a participat la inaugurarea Centrului Diagnostic de Rezonanță Magnetică Nucleară, din cadrul IMSP Institutul de Neurologie și Neurochirurgie ”Diomid Gherman” din Chișinău. La eveniment a fost prezent și Dereck J. Hogan, ambasadorul SUA în Republica Moldova.Centrul de Imagistică prin Rezonanța Magnetică a fost creat la inițiativa și cu suportul financiar oferit de conaționalul nostru stabilit cu traiul în SUA, președintele societății civile moldo-americane “Moldan-Holding”, Vladimir Gherman și este dotat cu echipament performant care permite efectuarea investigațiilor atît a modificărilor structurale - vizualizează structura creierului și spectrul integral de stări patologice, cît și a celor funcționale - vizualizează dereglările metabolice cerebrale și leziunile la nivel celular.
